Weight Loss Medication Ordering Guide For The 2024/25 Festive Season

As the festive season approaches, please review our guide to weight loss medication ordering over this period and what to expect. Due to high demand at Morrisons Clinic and with Royal Mail, timely ordering will be essential to avoid disappointment and to ensure continuation of treatment for our existing patients.

Key dates
for new patients

For new patients submitting a consultation over the festive season, please be aware of the following process:

  • Submit your first consultation by 12 pm on Friday 13 December for delivery before Christmas.

  • New patient consultations placed after 13 December will be processed and queued for dispatch in early January 2025 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • All new weight loss patients are required to start on the lowest dosage to ensure safe monitoring and progress by our clinical team.

  • We will keep you updated on the progress of your consultation status via email and SMS over this period.

  • Please ensure that you provide the correct delivery address and that you  will be able to receive it.

Weight Loss Renewal Process

Ensuring you plan ahead and place your order in plenty of time to avoid any potential delays or gaps in treatment is key. Below we set out the key dates for your diary.

We'll send email and SMS reminders in the coming weeks about reordering and key dates. We would also recommend downloading the Royal Mail app to keep track of your delivery status.

You can reorder 7 days after your previous consultation was approved, allowing us to process renewals earlier. If we request any additional information (like photos or medical records), please respond promptly to keep things moving.

Due to high demand, our team will be especially busy, but we’re committed to maintaining our usual service quality. We will keep you updated on your order status in your Morrisons Clinic account and via email and SMS.

Finally, if your delivery address will change over the holidays, please update it accordingly.

Key dates for renewal

Friday 1 December (before 12pm)

Why is this important?

The last recommended date for submitting your renewal consultation for pre-Christmas delivery.

When will I receive treatment?

If you submit your renewal consultation ON or BEFORE 13 December, you will receive your medication in time for Christmas.

What happens if I miss it?

We will continue processing as many renewal requests as we can up until the last dispatch date on Friday 20 December.

Any renewal consultations received after 20 December will not arrive in time for Christmas.

Friday 20 December

Why is this important?

This is the last dispatch date for pre-Christmas delivery from our pharmacy.

When will I receive treatment?

Any renewal consultations submitted ON or BEFORE 13 December will be dispatched by Friday 20 December

What happens if I miss it?

We will not be dispatching any weight loss orders for delivery between 20 and 26 December.

The next earliest dispatch date from our pharmacy after 20 December will be 27 December.

Wednesday 25 &
Thursday 26 December

Why is this important?

Morrisons Clinic closed

When will I receive treatment?

Our team will not be processing consultations or dispatching medication deliveries on these dates.

What happens if I miss it?

If you have an emergency please call 911 or if you require medical advice please contact NHS 111.

Friday 27 December

Why is this important?

If your order cannot be dispatched before Christmas, our next dispatch date will be 27 December. We will require you to “opt-in” to let us know if you will be at home to collect the delivery before 31 December.

When will I receive treatment?

We will dispatch any pending orders for patients who have opted-in on Friday 27 December for delivery before 31 December.

Saturday 28 December – Wednesday 1 January

Why is this important?

Consultations will still be processed but we will not be dispatching any weight loss orders for delivery during these dates.

When will I receive treatment?

The next medication dispatch date will be Thursday 2 Jan 2025.

Wednesday 1 January 2025

Why is this important?

Morrisons Clinic closed.

When will I receive treatment?

Our team will not be processing consultations or dispatching medication deliveries on this date.

What happens if I miss it?

If you have an emergency please call 999 or if you require medical advice please contact NHS 111.

Thursday 2 Jan 2025

Why is this important?

Morrisons Clinic re-opens for business as usual.

When will I receive treatment?

Our team will process and dispatch all pending weight loss orders as normal from 2 Jan 2025. Due to high volumes, it may take up to 7 days for your order to be dispatched
